Speak to General Bentnoze or General Wartface in Goblin Village

To complete the Goblin Diplomacy quest, you need to speak to either General Bentnoze or General Wartface in Goblin Village, located in the Kingdom of Asgarnia, north of Falador and east of Taverley. The generals can be found in their hut on the north side of the village.

Upon speaking to them, you will find the generals arguing about which colour armour is best for their goblins. Offer to help them decide on a colour other than red or green, and they will accept your suggestion. The first colour they wish to try is orange. The generals will direct you to search the crates in the village to find three Goblin mails. Alternatively, you can skip this step by buying Orange and Blue dye from the Grand Exchange.

You can also obtain the dyes by gathering their individual components. For the orange dye, you will need to gather two onions from the field north of Rimmington or Lumbridge, and three redberries from a bush near Varrock's southeast mine. Take these ingredients to Aggie in Draynor Village, and she will make one red and one yellow dye. To make the orange dye, use the yellow and red dyes on each other in your inventory.

Once you have the orange dye, return to the Goblin Village and inform the generals. They will ask you to provide them with the orange goblin mail, which they will have Grubfoot try on. However, they will not be pleased with the colour and will ask for blue armour instead.

Obtain 3 goblin mails

To obtain three goblin mails in the Goblin Diplomacy quest, you can either find them or purchase them.

To find the goblin mails, head to the Goblin Village and search the crates in the house to the west of the generals, behind their hut. You can also obtain goblin mail as a drop from killing goblins in the Goblin Village. The goblins will drop red or green goblin mails, which can be dyed, but you will need one uncoloured goblin mail from a standard goblin.

Alternatively, you can skip this step by purchasing the goblin mails directly from the Grand Exchange.

Once you have obtained the three goblin mails, you will need to dye them to resolve the dispute between the goblin generals. The generals, Bentnoze and Wartface, are arguing about which colour armour is best for their goblins. They initially suggest red or green, but you can offer to help them decide on a different colour.

To create the dyes, you will need two woad leaves, three redberries, two onions, and 15 coins (or 35 coins if you don't already have woad leaves). You can obtain these items by purchasing or gathering them from various locations. Wyson the gardener in Falador Park will sell you two woad leaves for 20 coins. You can pick two onions from the field just north of Rimmington or from other locations such as Lumbridge, in the backyard of Farmer Fred's farm. Finally, you can purchase three redberries from the food store in Port Sarim or pick them from a redberry bush near Varrock's southeast mine.

With the ingredients gathered, take them to Aggie in Draynor Village. She will create one yellow, one red, and one blue dye for you. To make orange dye, combine the yellow and red dyes in your inventory.

Now that you have the dyes, you can proceed to dye one goblin mail orange, one blue, and leave the last one unaltered.

Get blue and orange dye

To get blue and orange dye for the Goblin Diplomacy quest, you will need to gather the following items:

  • 2 Woad leaves
  • 3 Redberries
  • 2 Onions
  • 15 Coins (or 35 coins if you don't have Woad leaves)

Woad leaves can be purchased from Wyson the gardener in Falador Park. Offer to buy them for 20 coins, and he will give you two leaves for being generous. Onions can be picked from the field just north of Rimmington or from Farmer Fred's farm in Lumbridge. Three redberries can be purchased from Wydin's Food Store in Port Sarim for 3 coins each, or picked from a redberry bush near Varrock's southeast mine.

Once you have gathered these items, take them to Aggie in Draynor Village. She will make one yellow, one red, and one blue dye for you, with each dye costing 5 coins to make. To make orange dye, use the yellow and red dye on each other in your inventory. Alternatively, you can skip this step and simply buy orange and blue dye from the Grand Exchange.

Give the generals the dyed armour

To complete the Goblin Diplomacy quest in RuneScape, you must help the goblins decide which colour they will wear. Speak to General Bentnoze or General Wartface in Goblin Village, in the Kingdom of Asgarnia, located north of Falador and east of Taverley. They will tell you that the goblins are on the brink of civil war over whether their armour should be red or green. Suggest a different colour, and they will agree to consider orange armour.

Ask the generals where you can get orange armour. They will tell you that you can dye Goblin mail orange. Grubfoot will mention that he stole yellow dye from a witch in Draynor Village, and you may be able to find some there. The generals will also mention that you can find goblin mail in three different crates around the village.

Grab three suits of goblin mail from the following locations:

  • Behind the generals' hut in a crate
  • Inside the western hut between the small square hut and the generals' hut
  • Up a ladder near the gate to the goblin village

Now, you need to make orange and blue dye. Take the supplies to Aggie in Draynor Village, and have her make one yellow, one red, and one blue dye. To make orange dye, use the yellow dye and red dye on each other in your inventory.

Dye one Goblin mail orange, one blue, and leave the last one unaltered. Go back to Goblin Village and give the orange goblin mail to the generals. They will have Grubfoot try it on, but they will not like it. They will ask for blue armour instead. Give them the blue goblin mail. Again, they will have Grubfoot try it on, and again, it will be rejected. They will now want brown. Give them the plain brown goblin mail. Grubfoot will try it on for the last time, and the goblins will decide that the original colour, brown, is best after all. Congratulations, you have completed the quest!

Generals decide brown is the best colour

To complete the quest 'Goblin Diplomacy', the player must help Generals Bentnoze and Wartface decide on a colour for their goblins' armour. The goblins are on the brink of civil war over whether the armour should be red or green. The player must suggest a different colour, and the generals will agree to try a sample of armour in orange.

The player must then dye one goblin mail blue and another orange, leaving one plain. The orange goblin mail is given to the generals, who ask Grubfoot to try it on. They are not pleased with the colour and ask for blue armour instead. Grubfoot tries on the blue goblin mail, but it is rejected once again. The generals then request brown armour. The player must give them the plain brown goblin mail, and in the cut scene, Grubfoot models the brown armour. The generals agree that brown is the best colour and reward the player for their help.

The goblin mails can be obtained by searching crates in the Goblin Village or by killing goblins, who drop red or green goblin mails that can be dyed. The blue dye can be created by taking two woad leaves and five coins to Aggie. The orange dye is made by combining the red dye, made from three redberries and five coins, with the yellow dye, made from two onions and five coins.

The brown goblin mail is the original colour of the armour and the generals decide that it is, in fact, the best colour after all. With the dispute resolved, the world no longer has to worry about rioting goblins.
