Lunar Diplomacy: Keep Or Discard Lunar Gear?

Lunar Diplomacy is a quest in RuneScape where players make and wear lunar equipment, which is the ceremonial attire of the Moon Clan. During the quest, players can make multiple staves, which can be enchanted using dramen staves from Lost City. Players need to keep their Seal of Passage on them at all times while on Lunar Isle, as they will be teleported off the island if they try to talk to any NPC without it. After completing the quest, players can access Lunar Isle and a new spellbook. They can also buy pieces of Lunar equipment from the Oneiromancer on the Lunar Isle, as they cannot make the items again.

You can recolour your lunar gear

Lunar gear is worn by the Moon Clan as a ceremonial attire. Players can make more than one staff during the Lunar Diplomacy quest, but they will need a small collection of dramen staves from Lost City to enchant them all. After the quest, this is no longer possible.

It is possible for players to obtain multiple sets of Lunar robes through the recolour feature at the Loyalty Programme Shop. Lunar armour has been re-statted to tier 60 power armour, and recolouring the lunar equipment no longer changes the Defence level requirement.

You don't need a seal of passage to visit Lunar Isle

During the Lunar Diplomacy quest, players make and wear lunar equipment, including a ring, amulet, and staff, which are also worn by the Moon Clan as ceremonial attire. Players also obtain a seal of passage by talking to Brundt the Chieftain in the Rellekka longhall. This seal of passage is necessary to keep on your person while on the island, as talking to anyone without it will teleport you back to Rellekka.

However, once you have completed the quest, you no longer need a seal of passage to visit Lunar Isle. Brundt the Chieftain will replace the seal for free if you lose or destroy it, but he will not give you a second one if you already have one in your possession. Therefore, it is advisable to destroy your seal of passage after each visit to the island, as you can always get a free replacement from Brundt if you need one.

Additionally, players who have completed the Fremennik Elite Diaries will no longer need to hold or wear a seal of passage to speak to the residents of Lunar Isle.

After completing the Lunar Diplomacy quest, players can also recolour their lunar equipment by going to Xuan's Loyalty Programme Shop in Varrock Square or Burthorpe and using one piece of lunar equipment on Xuan. The equipment can be coloured red, yellow, green, blue, or returned to its original colour.

You can enchant multiple staffs during the quest

During the Lunar Diplomacy quest, players can make more than one staff. However, they will need a small collection of dramen staves from Lost City and enchant them all during the quest. After the quest, this is no longer possible. The staff can be obtained by using a knife on a dramen branch, which requires a crafting level of 31 or higher.

If you have multiple staffs after completing the quest, you can return to the island and cut more branches. It is advised that you make multiple staffs once you have completed the quest, so you do not need to return to the island if you lose a staff.

The lunar staff is a magic weapon and a piece of lunar equipment. It is created during the Lunar Diplomacy quest, so 65 Magic is required to obtain it. Despite the quest requirement of 65 Magic, the staff itself has the stats of a level 50 weapon and does not seem to have any actual requirements to wield.

During the quest, the lunar staff is made by using a dramen staff on the Air, Fire, Water, and Earth altars, in that order. Once the quest is completed, the staff can no longer be created this way and must be purchased from the Oneiromancer for 30,000 coins. The staff cannot be purchased if players already have one in their possession.

You can obtain a seal of approval by speaking to Brundt the Chieftain

During the Lunar Diplomacy quest, players make and wear lunar equipment, which is also worn by the Moon Clan as ceremonial attire. This equipment includes a ring, amulet, and staff, which give a slightly lower Magic attack bonus than Mystic robes.

Brundt the Chieftain is the chieftain of Rellekka, the capital of the Fremennik Province. He plays a role in the Lunar Diplomacy quest, where he explains the history between his people, the Fremennik, and the Moon Clan of Lunar Isle. He also provides players with a seal of passage, which allows them to visit Lunar Isle as peaceful ambassadors. This seal is necessary to have on your person while on the island, as not having it will result in the player being teleported off the island. Brundt will replace the seal for free if a player loses or destroys it.

After completing the Lunar Diplomacy quest, players can continue to visit Lunar Isle without the seal of passage. However, they will still be unable to talk to anyone on the island. This changes once the player completes Dream Mentor, after which 'Bird's-Eye' Jack becomes a banker on Lunar Isle, allowing players to access the bank without the seal.

You can use the Lodestone Network to travel to Lunar Isle

The Lodestone Network is a fast travel system in RuneScape that allows players to teleport to various locations. The Lunar Isle lodestone is part of the Lodestone Network and is located on Lunar Isle.

To travel to Lunar Isle using the Lodestone Network, players must first activate the Lunar Isle lodestone. This is done automatically upon completion of the Lunar Diplomacy quest. Once the lodestone is activated, players can teleport to Lunar Isle by using the Home Teleport spell and then either clicking on the lodestone's symbol on the map or by using the keyboard shortcut Alt+L.

In addition to the Lodestone Network, there are several other ways to travel to Lunar Isle. Players can use the spell Moonclan Teleport or Tele-group Moonclan, or they can use the tablet Astral Altar teleport, which can be acquired from The Great Orb Project. Players can also travel to Miscellania with a ring of wealth (4) and then on to Rellekka, although this requires completion of the Throne of Miscellania quest.

Another option is to travel by boat. Players can speak to Lokar Searunner on Rellekka's westernmost dock and obtain a seal of passage from Brundt the Chieftain in the Longhall. This seal must be kept on the player's person while on the island, and they must speak to various NPCs in a specific order. Alternatively, players can avoid the need for a seal of passage by telling Lokar they are only travelling to Pirates' Cove.
