Required items to start the quest

To start the Lunar Diplomacy quest in OSRS, you will need a variety of items, some of which are essential, and others that are recommended. Here is a list of the required items to begin the quest:

Firstly, you will need a Dramen staff, which will eventually be turned into a Lunar staff. It is recommended to bring several Dramen staves if you wish to obtain multiple Lunar staves. You will also need the necessary items to access all four elemental rune altars: Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. This can be achieved by obtaining either the corresponding talismans or tiaras, an elemental talisman, access to the Abyss, or by playing the Guardians of the Rift minigame.

Before you begin your journey, it is also advisable to obtain a Bullseye lantern, as you will need to bring one if you already have it in your bank. If you do not have one, the Cabin Boy will provide you with one. Additionally, you will need a vial filled with water, a Suqah Tooth, and the hides of Suqahs, which can be obtained by killing level 111 Suqahs. You will also need a Pestle and Mortar to grind the Suah Tooth to add to the vial.

To travel to the Lunar Isle, you will need to obtain a "Seal of Passage" from Brundt the Chieftain in Rellekka. This item must be kept in your inventory or worn at all times while on the Lunar Isle; otherwise, you will be teleported off the isle. You will also need Lamp oil and a Tinderbox, as well as 400 coins, a Needle, Thread, Pickaxe, Hammer, Spade, and an Axe (which can be obtained during the quest).

It is also recommended that you bring teleport runes to Lumbridge and Varrock, a Ring of dueling, Food, a Weapon, and Armor. Ensure that you have the required skills for the quest, including 61 Crafting, 40 Defence, 49 Firemaking, 5 Herblore, 65 Magic, 60 Mining, and 55 Woodcutting.

How to obtain the Seal of Passage

To obtain the Seal of Passage, you must begin the Lunar Diplomacy quest. Start by speaking with Lokar Searunner at the westernmost dock in Rellekka. Lokar will instruct you to obtain a "Seal of Passage" from Brundt the Chieftain in the longhall in Rellekka.

Once you have received the Seal of Passage, you must keep it with you at all times while on Lunar Isle or related areas. If you lose or destroy the Seal of Passage, you can get a new one from Brundt the Chieftain. If you have completed the quest, you can retrieve it from the Quest Item Storage chest at the Quest Point Caravan.

It is important to note that if you attempt to speak to any NPC on Lunar Isle without the Seal of Passage, you will be teleported off the island. This includes when you are at the bank or performing other actions. Therefore, it is recommended to keep the Seal of Passage with you at all times during the quest.

Additionally, the Seal of Passage can be used to teleport directly to Lunar Isle once per day. However, after completing the quest, it is more convenient to teleport to Lunar Isle via the Lodestone network, as the Seal of Passage becomes a cosmetic item at this point.

How to make a Ground Tooth

To make a Ground Tooth, you will need a pestle and mortar, a Suqah tooth, a guam leaf, and marrentill.

First, you must obtain a Suqah tooth. Suqahs can be found on Lunar Isle, particularly on the north side of the island. They are level 111 monsters that can use dangerous magic attacks as well as melee, so be cautious. Once you have killed a Suqah, be sure to also pick up their hide as you will need four of them later on. They also commonly drop guam and marrentill herbs.

Next, fill the empty vial with water from a nearby water source (a bucket of water will not work). Then, add the guam leaf and marrentill to the vial of water.

Finally, crush the Suqah tooth with the pestle and mortar to obtain a ground tooth. Add the ground tooth to the vial to create the Waking Sleep Vial.

How to obtain the Lunar Staff

The lunar staff is a magic weapon and piece of lunar equipment, requiring 65 Magic and 40 Defence to wield. It is created during the Lunar Diplomacy quest by using a dramen staff on the air, fire, water, and earth altars, in that order. Note that this cannot be done after the Lunar Diplomacy quest is completed. Players can make more than one staff during the quest. However, they will need a small collection of dramen staves from Lost City and enchant them all during the quest. After the quest, this is no longer possible.

The lunar staff can be used to access Zanaris and the fairy ring transport system. It has slightly better stats than the dramen staff, but it also has a slower attack speed, making it a generally worse melee weapon. The lunar staff provides a +3 prayer bonus, while the dramen staff provides no prayer bonus.

If a player loses their staff, they can obtain one from the Oneiromancer for 30,000 coins (or for free if lost before the quest is completed). This requires a seal of passage or completion of the elite Fremennik diary; otherwise, the player will be teleported off the island.

How to unlock the Ourania Teleport spell

To unlock the Ourania Teleport spell, players must complete the Lunar Diplomacy quest and have a minimum of 71 Magic. This spell, like all other Lunar spells, requires players to complete the Lunar Diplomacy quest before it can be cast. Players must also speak to Baba Yaga with Lunar spells active to unlock the ability to cast this spell.

Ourania Teleport teleports the player outside of the Ourania Cave and the Ourania Altar. It is often used with Tele Group Moonclan to craft at the Ourania rune altar. This spell is required for the completion of the Ardougne Tasks.

To start the Lunar Diplomacy quest, players must first mine a lunar ore at the mine north-east of Rellekka. They must then climb down the ladder and mine a stalagmite west of the rune essence rock. After obtaining the lunar ore, players should run to the south-eastern part of the island and talk to Oneiromancer near the Astral altar.

Players must then return to the city and enter the walking house in the northern section to speak with Baba Yaga, ensuring they have at least one inventory space free. Players will need to use a vial on the sink, add a guam and a marrentill, and grind a suqah tooth to use on the vial. Finally, they must return to the Oneiromancer with the potion.
